Coronavirus (COVID-19): Resources for the Cooperative Business Community

** Le français suit. **

Hello/Bonjour aux membres de la FCCT /

CWCF members

As sources of information on the rapidly evolving Covid19 pandemic, we suggest using the resources on the NCBA site, here, &/or the Government of Canada here. This notice is adapted with permission from CCO, and with guidance from the CWCF Executive Committee.

In order to stay safe in the global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, CWCF takes the following decisions to protect CWCF staff and the communities served by the organization:

  1. Meetings for board and staff are replaced with virtual meetings.
  2. Travel and professional gatherings are limited, and/or will be virtual. If possible, they can be postponed to a later date.
  3. Management encourages employees to work from home, to the extent possible. Employees can be reached by email and phone during working hours.

We also invite you to learn more about COVID-19 and to take personal measures to protect yourself from it. Thanks for your help.

We must be a model of social responsibility during this pandemic. Protecting staff and communities is our top priority.

The US Federation of Worker Co-ops is offering a webinar in English and Spanish on how worker co-ops should prepare. Join Michaela Fisher (Program Manager, NYC SBS’s Worker Cooperative Business Development Initiative), Louis Fazen (Yale Occupational & Environmental Medicine Program Fellow) and Christina Fox (Occupational Health & Safety Trainer at ActionOSH) for this important webinar panel discussing this evolving situation.

Together, they will:

  • Report on programs that NYC is developing to support small businesses who may struggle during this crisis
  • Discuss best practices about how to prepare your workplace and your community
  • Answer questions that worker-owners may have

This webinar is free and open to everyone. RSVP to receive the webinar information
