Mariel Edwards-Carreau will be interning with CWCF over the coming five months as part of the Venture for Canada program. Mariel brings experience in communications, engagement, fundraising and program coordination in the nonprofit, international development and co-op sectors. Passionate about co-operatives, community development and the social economy, she is currently pursuing a Master of Management, Co-operatives and Credit Unions at Saint Mary’s University. She is particularly interested in how co-operation can build stronger, more resilient and sustainable communities, creating opportunities for meaningful social and economic change. She is excited to join CWCF, deepen her involvement in the Canadian co-op sector and contribute to the growth of its Common Good Capital program!
Based in Montreal, Mariel is bilingual, has three senior dogs and loves all things fibre arts!
