Maurice Amiri was elected as CWCF’s Atlantic Region Director at the 2025 AGM. Maurice is a project manager and strategic lead with a background in engineering and digital innovation. He holds an engineering education that equipped him with strong analytical and technical skills, which he has applied in industrial feasibility studies, EPC project management, and process design. Over the years, Maurice has managed housing, industrial, and nonprofit projects, consistently bridging technical, business, and social priorities to deliver impactful results. His engineering foundation allows him to translate complex regulatory and technical frameworks into actionable project requirements, ensuring clarity and compliance across diverse initiatives.
As co‑founder of Expertise Hub Cooperative, Maurice has combined his engineering expertise with a passion for community empowerment. He currently leads an initiative supporting newcomers in Newfoundland and Labrador through mentorship, employment pathways, and integration strategies. Having worked across cooperative, nonprofit, and industrial sectors, he values the collaborative spirit of co‑ops and is committed to building inclusive pathways for internationally trained professionals to contribute meaningfully to Canada’s workforce. His long‑term vision is to strengthen resilient organizations and advance inclusive digital innovation that benefits communities across Atlantic Canada and beyond.
