JEDDI Committee Call for Members, and Board BIPOC Advisors

CWCF’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, Decolonization and Inclusion (“JEDDI”) Committee is calling for applications for new committee members. At the same time, the Board of CWCF in conjunction with the JEDDI Committee is seeking BIPOC Advisors to the Board.

The Committee is seeking individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous or other People of Colour (BIPOC)  or other Equity-Denied Groups (EDGs) and who also have community connections within that EDG community, as is the Board for the Advisor roles.  Applicants should preferably have experience in DEI/JEDDI, be interested in working with CWCF and the worker co-operative movement, and have experience with co-ops, preferably but not necessarily worker co-ops.  Committee members are typically expected to attend quarterly meetings of approximately 90 minutes and commit 1-2 hours a month outside of this on related committee tasks. Applicants should be able to make the time commitment and have knowledge of DEI/social justice.

To apply please provide a letter or email explaining how you meet the above criteria and provide a profile of your experience with co-ops and DEI/social justice.  This can be emailed to Chloe Williams at exec-assist@canadianworker.coop.
