Hazel Corcoran receives the William J. Nelson ACE Award.

May 24, 2016 —An energetic leader within the Canadian and American co-operative movement will be the first recipient of the William J. Nelson Contribution to ACE Award recognizing those who add significant value to the Association of Cooperative Educators (ACE). Hazel Corcoran of Calgary, the executive director of the Canadian Worker Co-operative Federation, new board Hazel Corcoran receives the William J. Nelson ACE Award.

Archived March 22, 2020 – Worker Co-ops in Michael Moore film: “Capitalism: A Love Story”

The film by Michael Moore, Capitalism: A Love Story, features United States FWC members Isthmus Engineering and Alvarado Street Bakery as examples of economic solutions.  Look for the section on worker co-operatives when you see the movie.   The DVD (released in late 2009) and Netflix extras include discussion of co-ops by Canadian Tom Webb (founder of the Archived March 22, 2020 – Worker Co-ops in Michael Moore film: “Capitalism: A Love Story”
