CWCF had planned to hold a fully hybrid Conference in Vancouver next month, with something at nearly every time slot to be available virtually as well as in-person.
We regret to announce that we have realized that a hybrid Conference to the degree we’d planned is beyond our capacity, at least this year. We had tested our system at our board meeting, but with the number of people attending the Conference in person we have realized that it’s not possible with this system.
We especially apologize to all of you who had planned to participate virtually. Although it’s not a large number of people, we’re sorry to disappoint you and we will miss your involvement. We will contact you directly and refund your registration fees. The Conference website and registration page have been changed to reflect the new reality.
In better news, we are able to offer remote participants the opportunity to virtually attend, without cost, one of two workshops as well as the AGM.
The workshops which are available to remote participants are both at 1 – 2:30 pm PT on Friday, Nov. 18th. Remote participants can choose either:
- Grant Opportunities and Application Practices, or
- Solidarity Economy Principles
The AGM will be held at 3:30 – 5 pm PT, also on November 18th.
Please note that registration for in-person attendance is open until November 9th.
