Land Acknowledgement

“The Canadian Worker Co-op Federation (CWCF) gratefully and respectfully acknowledges the traditional, ancestral, unceded territories of Indigenous peoples, whose presence reaches back to time immemorial, and on whose territories we live and work. CWCF recognizes that land acknowledgements are not enough. Regarding the actions that CWCF is taking and will take, it has recently approved an action plan to build ‘Justice, Equity, Diversity, Decolonization, and Inclusion’ in the worker co-op movement.”

La Fédération canadienne des coopératives de travail (FCCT) reconnaît, avec gratitude et respect, que nous vivons et travaillons sur des territoires non cédés. Ces territoires traditionnels et ancestraux appartiennent à des peuples autochtones dont la présence sur ces terres remonte à des temps immémoriaux. La FCCT est consciente que la reconnaissance territoriale n’est pas suffisante. Certaines des actions concrètes entreprises par la FCCT — ou en voie de l’être — incluent notamment l’approbation récente d’un plan d’action pour mettre en place « justice, équité, diversité et inclusion » au sein du mouvement coopératif.
