CWCF Young Adult Arts and Culture grant recipient hosts drag show

A group led by Coco Einarsen, recipient of CWCF’s 2023 Young Adult Arts and Culture grant, hosted a successful drag show at Co-op Bar Milton-Parc on November 25, 2023 promoting the new solidarity cooperative’s offering and ongoing crowdfunding campaign. CWCF Awards Racial Justice Project Grants

CWCF’s Racial Justice Project Grant fund was established in 2022, as a part of the Racial Justice Action Plan drafted by CWCF’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, Decolonization & Inclusion (JEDDI) Committee. This Action Plan has the long-term objective of a worker co-operative movement in Canada which is racially diverse, inclusive, and just. This granting pool is CWCF Awards Racial Justice Project Grants

Update on 2021 Young Adult Arts and Culture Grant Winner

  Growing Slow, a short film focusing on Vancouver Island’s Island Flower Growers Co-operative, is now available to watch on YouTube. Director Nick Ogden was the recipient of CWCF’s 2021 young adult arts and culture grant, which he used to help produce the film.

Update on 2022 Young Adult Arts and Culture Grant Recipient

CWCF is pleased to announce that the group which received the 2022 Young Adult Arts and Culture Grant has completed its work: translating the co-operative anthem “Bi Hanka” (originally written in the Basque language) into English. 2020 Arts and Culture Grant Project

The $1000 grant for a youth-based arts and culture project was awarded to the Social Justice Co-operative of Newfoundland, a group committed to raising the profile of co-operative approaches to economic and social development in Newfoundland and Labrador. With the support of the grant, SJCNL commissioned local freelance artist Molly Margaret (age 25) to create 2020 Arts and Culture Grant Project

Canadian Co-operative Investment Fund

  The Canadian Co-operative Investment Fund (CCIF) is a new $25 million fund dedicated exclusively to bridging financing gaps for the co-operative sector in Canada. CCIF provides loans, equity and quasi equity ranging from $50,000 to $1.25 million per transaction. CCIF can work with co-ops in all provinces, territories and sectors. CCIF focuses on supporting Canadian Co-operative Investment Fund
